Brabus Mercedes E-Class 800 E

Tuning company Brabus never ceases to amaze us. This time they have released a brand new package for the Mercedes E-Class called the 800 E V12 Cabriolet. Completely redesigning the exterior, the Mercedes received a new carbon fiber body kit, fresh alloy wheels, and a sport suspension kit to tie it all together. The black 19-inch alloys wrapped in high performance tires gives it a murdered out feel, while the performance numbers are even more stunning. We’re going to hold out on the performance specs for right now, and move to the interior where you will find carbon fiber trim, a new sport steering wheel, and speedometer capable of reaching 400 km/h! You’ll find out why in just a second.

Solar Car on Planet

In the most recent World Solar Challenge, a Japanese team upset the former 4-time Dutch champs to win the 1,864-mile solar car race across Australia with the vehicle you see here. The Tokai Challenger completed the journey in 29 hours and 49 minutes despite a flat tire—that's an average speed of about 63mph.

BMW 3 Series coupe & convertible

The next-generation BMW 3 Series isn't that far off, with the sedan expected to debut sometime in 2011 as a 2012 model. Yet the Munich brand isn't sitting on its hands in the meantime – the current 3 Series coupe and convertible are getting a mild refresh and updated powerplants this spring for the 2011 model year. The most immediately noticeable change are headlamp clusters that get a subtle reshaping to go along with a wider grille and reworked lower front fascia. At the rear, the taillamps retain the same shape, but the reflectors are redesigned with some of the light-pipe styling found in other recent Bimmers.

Lamborghini Aventador model Design 2012

Auto Heaven

Big as it is, Canepa Design is easy to miss. The discreet boxy building sits just off a busy street in the quiet northern California town of Scotts Valley, just up the winding highway from Santa Cruz. But for car lovers, this place beams like St. Peter’s, an inviting treasure chest stuffed with classic automobiles worthy of pilgrimage.

Vintage racing Porsches rub sheetmetal shoulders with iconic ‘60s Ferraris, which sit mere wheel-wells away from the last Shelby Cobra to exit the factory gates. Some vehicles are being restored for their wealthy owners, others are being spiffed up to hit Canepa Design’s showroom, while a few enjoy some mechanical pampering before being returned to their places of honor upstairs in the on-site motorsports museum.

A bouncy, anti-gravity workout with the new AlterG treadmill

When I finished my first half-marathon last month, I experienced what it felt like to run on the ground for two hours. But what is it like to run in a gravity-reduced vacuum? When AlterG offered me the chance to demo their new "anti-gravity" treadmill, I couldn't resist. I jumped in my car and headed over to the gym at UCSF, down in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco.

Some of the most simple and cool designs are displayed in here. You too can make your laptops look such creative. Complete picture gallery below. Enjoy!

Digital Cloud could form over London for the 2012 Olympics

No, we're not talking about "the cloud" where data goes to disappear and (hopefully) be retrieved again. We're talking about an actual (well, artificial) cloud that promises to be both a real structure and a massive digital display. That's the bright idea of a team of researchers from MIT, anyway, and it's now been shortlisted in a competition designed to find a new tourist attraction to be built in London for the 2012 Olympics.

Android vs Apple OS

Android Honeycomb is indeed a sleek and sexy tablet OS. But is the latest iteration of Google's popular mobile operating system capable of taking on Apple's iOS-powered iPad?

Well, at least two industry analysts believe that potential iPad competitors may "fall short of expectations," as such tablets currently lack a viable equivalent to Apple's App Store and digital ecosystem of iTunes.

"One of the key focuses at [CES 2011] is of course tablets. Many [companies are] trying to come up with an answer to the strong selling iPad. This may sound controversial, but we are concerned that expectations may be set too high by market research firms with aggressive forecasts," Shaw Wu of Kaufman Bros in an industry note obtained by AppleInsider.

LFA 150MPH (Lexus)

The 2011 Lexus LFA isn't the fastest car ever made, nor the most powerful or even the quickest to 60 MPH. It can't even match the ZR1 around the Nürburgring. So why will this Toyota cost nearly $400,000? Details and more pictures below. Enjoy!

Full Disclosure: Lexus wanted us to drive the LFA so badly they flew me to Miami and put me up in a fancy hotel. Also, they fed me cornbread with jalapenos in it. If anyone wants to bribe me, southern food is definitely the way to do it, but I'd really have preferred country ham biscuits and red eye gravy.

Oasis of the Seas

Million Dollar Bugatti Super Car

The Bugatti Veyron is a modern automotive legend. The sleek speedster from Volkswagen boasts a top speed of over 260mph, making it the fastest road-legal car in the world, and it has a stunningly large $1.5 million price tag to match. Because of this astronomical cost of entry, only a few hundred of the vehicles have ever been built, meaning your chances of owning one are rather slim. That is, unless you're Mike Duff, an ambitious 25-year-old from Florida who decided to build his very own Bugatti with his bare hands.

2011 Volvo C70 more standard features

Do you know anyone who owns a Volvo C70? We don't either. The hard top convertible hasn't been a strong seller here in the U.S. since it was introduced in 2008, but Volvo is trying to do something about that for the 2011 model year. For starters, Volvo gave its lone convertible offering a nice refresh, with a new front end in the mold of the XC60 and S60 and new, higher-end taillamps. The even better news is that Volvo has improved the C70 while at the same time offering more bang for the buck.

LTE: 10x regular 4G speeds

Just as we’d started to revel in the speeds of LTE 4G, Ericsson had to go and spoil it all by showing us what’s next in the roadmap. The company has demonstrated LTE Advanced in Sweden this week, delivering speeds 10x that of regular LTE  - over 900 MB/s in fact – by aggregating carrier spectrum into bigger blocks. According to Ericsson, that offers not only higher potential top-speeds, but better performance even when the network is congested.
