Orange Architects Develop Luxury Apartments in Beirut

Orange architects have planned a luxurious apartment block, and have introduced a cubic design in eastern district of Beirut, Lebanon. The design has a flexible floor plans at each successive level and creates a breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and urban landscapes with open air verandas. The block consists of 50 meter tall construction with 19 apartments. Though the concept of the tower being simple uses maximum sites potentiality, the vertical concrete core allowing the views in all directions as well as strengthens the building in an active seismic area.

The fixed core at the centre of the building has lifts and staircases and the floors from the core runs to the exterior walls. There are two supporting walls and two transparent facades on each floor. The perforated walls are the main factors for the appearance of interior and exterior. The central core stabilizes the whole building. The floor plates in stacked fashion vary in floor area, maintains stability.

The continuity of ribbon windows encloses the dwelling while the frame allows you to get the view of the region. The open air verandas consists of terrace garden, children’s play ground. At the tower’s base garage parking is concealed with slope blanketed by vegetation of the region. The rotation at each level offers grandeur of outdoor area for residents of apartment below, and the panoramic view of Beirut through windows.

Orange Architects is a Dutch architectural firm JSA, HofmanDujardin, and CIMKA. The project has reached its completion of design phase. The tower block’s construction is expected to start in 2012 on Plot 941, in Sin el Fil.
